Senior HRIS Analyst – Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll

Job Description:

Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll functionality, configuration, and best practices.
Design, configure, and maintain absence plans, accruals, time entry codes, time calculations, work schedules, and related business processes.
Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate gross‑to‑net outcomes, compliance with federal/state/local regulations, and seamless end‑to‑end processing.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to time entry, time approvals, accrual calculations, leave eligibility, and payroll results.
Support annual and cyclical processes such as year‑end payroll, PTO resets, and policy updates.
Analyze system impacts of policy changes and recommend scalable configuration solutions.
Collaborate with Operations and HR to optimize workforce timekeeping practices and ensure accurate labor reporting.
Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards, including Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports.
Provide post-production support across Workday HCM modules.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to a knowledge-sharing culture.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Information Systems, or related field (preferred)
Hospitality industry experience a strong plus
Expert-level hands-on experience configuring Workday Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
Solid understanding of core HR business processes and interdependencies with Payroll, IT, and Finance
Prior experience with Workday acquisitions, data loads, and configuration a plus
Willingness to travel occasionally to company properties.
