Location: Sarasota, FL, USA Salary: $65.00 USD Hourly - $70.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a Director, Technology Operations

Responsibilities

  • Partner with specialist teams to define and execute the company’s technology, security, and AI strategy, including roadmap development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee all technology operations, including Service Desk/Helpdesk, Systems Operations, Infrastructure and Network Operations, and End‑User Computing and Device Management.
  • Lead incident, problem, and change management processes to ensure rapid issue resolution and minimal business disruption.
  • Provide hands-on leadership for complex technical issues, system troubleshooting, and architecture decisions while mentoring and developing team members.
  • Coordinate the delivery of technology projects—including hardware, software, AI/ML solutions, and managed services—in collaboration with specialist teams.
  • Collaborate with specialist teams to evaluate, integrate, and govern AI, machine learning, and automation technologies, ensuring ethical, secure, and compliant usage across the organization.
  • Lead cross-functional security initiatives, including vulnerability management, security awareness, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Own and manage compliance activities, including leadership of the annual SOC 2 audit.
  • Develop and maintain business continuity plans, disaster recovery strategies, and IT asset and software license management programs.
  • Participate in vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing management of outsourced services, platforms, and applications.
  • Define, monitor, and report on SLAs and KPIs, providing regular executive-level updates on operational performance and service quality.
  • Manage the technology operations budget, including cost optimization, capacity planning, and risk management.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of all technology processes, procedures, policies, and approved AI use cases.
  • Lead the recruitment, development, and retention of technology operations staff in alignment with company policies and culture.
