Staff Counsel Attorney – Construction Defect Litigation (FL) Fully Remote | 5–8 Years Experience
Staff Counsel Law Firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with 5–8 years of Florida Construction Defect litigation experience to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage Construction Defect litigation cases from inception through resolution
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to provide accurate and well-reasoned advice to clients.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Prepare for, conduct, and attend inspections, depositions, witness interviews, and client consultations.
- Represent clients in various court proceedings, including hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
- Coordinate with experts, consultants, carriers, and clients
- Develop case strategy and provide detailed case evaluations
- Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and changes in insurance regulations that could impact cases.
- Participate in team meetings, seminars, and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your legal skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar
- Insurance Defense background with 5–8 years of Construction Defect Litigation experience in Florida
- Experience representing developers, contractors, subcontractors, and/or design professionals and familiarity with construction experts and defect investigations
- Experience handling complex discovery and motion practice
- Trial preparation and courtroom experience
- Excellent writing, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload in a remote setting
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
