Online Advertisements Senior VFX Artist (Scopely, Inc.; Culver City, CA): Collaborate with Animation and Design teams to effectively communicate the personality of the characters through visual effects (VFX). Work closely with the Art Director and technical artists to implement and expand upon VFX in our game. Work to develop pipelines and processes as they relate to our game’s VFX. Apply your understanding of how to optimize VFX for performance while maintaining visual appeal. Explore new ways to help work through technical and visual limitations. Consistently strive to exceed the highest quality standards of the studio. Telecommuting permitted anywhere in the U.S. Minimum requirements: Three (3) years of experience in the position offered, Video Game Designer, or related. Must have experience with: artistic and technical skills in VFX; real time particle systems and latest VFX tools; 3D and 2D content creation tools; Node-based shader systems; competitive multiplayer game development; designing hand-painted VFX; custom shader creation (node-based or code) scripting languages; and multiple shipped titles. Skills may be gained through academic coursework and concurrently while pursuing academic studies. Salary: $90,293 – $145,000 per year For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY, and WA, the annual salary range is provided below.
