You'll take hands-on ownership of embedded Linux systems throughout their lifecycle ensuring security, stability, and long-term maintainability while implementing new features and hardware connectivity. This role offers deep technical work across system maintenance, driver development, and industrial interface implementation, collaborating closely with hardware and product teams to deliver reliable, production grade embedded solutions. What you will do as a Senior Software Engineer - Embedded Linux... System Maintenance: Manage embedded Linux system lifecycle including security patches, updates, and long term support Feature Development: Implement and extend features on Linux based embedded measurement platforms Hardware Drivers: Develop and maintain hardware related peripheral drivers for connected measurement devices Interface Implementation: Build and integrate industrial and IoT communication interfaces for device connectivity What we are looking for… Deep Linux Expertise: Strong knowledge of system configuration, instrumentation, security, permissions, power management, and memory management Yocto Framework: Hands-on experience building and maintaining embedded Linux distributions with Yocto Cybersecurity Knowledge: Experience with FOSS handling, SBOM generation, CVE tracking, and patch management Driver Development: Proven experience developing hardware-related peripheral drivers Industrial Interfaces: Familiarity with IoT and industrial protocols (e.g., Profinet, IEC61850, MQTT) Tooling & Workflows: Experience with automated workflows, GitLab, Jira, and CI/CD practices Documentation Skills: Ability to produce clear, structured technical documentation Language: Fluency in English Apply To This Job
