About This Opportunity As a Database Engineer IV, you will be the senior technical authority in database engineering, providing strategic direction and overseeing the organization's database development initiatives. This role requires extensive experience, deep technical expertise, and leadership skills to drive innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities

Expert-level architecture and implementation of complex enterprise database solutions Lead major engineering initiatives including database consolidation, cloud migration, and optimization projects Establish and enforce enterprise-wide development standards, coding practices, and architectural pattern Expert in SQL database design, database development, performance tuning and code optimization including integration architecture Mentor and coach Database Engineer team members at all levels, fostering technical excellence and innovation Develop and deliver advanced technical training to database development teams on technologies Collaborate with executive leadership to align database engineering strategy with business objectives Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in database development and cloud platforms Act as technical decision-maker for critical database engineering projects and architectural choices Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts to drive complex technical deliverables Develop comprehensive development standards for SQL and database design practices Architect enterprise cloud solutions across multiple platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure) Lead evaluation and adoption of new technologies, tools, and development methodologies Design and implement advanced data processing solutions including real-time analytics and big data integration Provide technical expertise for complex database integrations with multiple enterprise systems and platforms

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field 8 years of extensive experience as a Development DBA, with significant time in a senior or technical lead role. Deep knowledge of multiple database technologies (e.g., SQL, Oracle, NoSQL, MySQL, etc.) and their optimal use cases. Expertise in advanced performance tuning, query optimization, and database internals. Strong understanding of cloud database services (e.g. Azure SQL DB, GCP Cloud SQL, etc.) and cloud-native architectural patterns. Exceptional leadership includes mentoring, written, and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Experience in a Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, or Architect role within a data-intensive environment preferred.
