. This role focuses on evaluating, improving, and promoting environmentally sound and economically viable farming practices. You will be instrumental in analyzing existing agricultural systems, identifying areas for sustainability improvements, and developing data-driven recommendations. Responsibilities include conducting life cycle assessments (LCAs) for agricultural products and processes, evaluating resource use (water, energy, land), and quantifying environmental impacts such as greenhouse gas emissions and nutrient runoff. You will research and assess innovative technologies and methodologies in areas like regenerative agriculture, organic farming, precision agriculture, and biopesticides. Data collection, statistical analysis, and modeling will be core functions, utilizing various software tools to interpret complex datasets and present findings. Collaboration with farmers, researchers, environmental scientists, and policymakers will be crucial to integrate findings into practical applications and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in agricultural science, environmental science, agricultural economics, or a related field, with a demonstrated focus on sustainability. Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS) and GIS is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and report-writing skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
