[Remote] Pipeline Designer / Drafter
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. is a professional services firm specializing in a full spectrum of engineering services. The Pipeline Designer/Drafter will be responsible for creating diagrams for Gas Utility Pipeline projects and preparing layout and design of systems using AutoCAD Plant 3D modeling software.
Responsibilities
- Prepare layout and design of oil & gas piping design systems using AVEVA (P&ID, E3D, ect) and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D software
- Producing quality piping design layouts, orientation of process equipment and interconnecting piping
- Generating Piping Line List and Tie-In list when required
- Assist engineers and designers in resolving piping design issues
- Calculating layout rights-of-way and/or street dimensions and angles
- Generating Iso-Metric Drawings using AVEVA E3D and/or Plant 3D
- Constructing dimensional relationships of one part to another and a relationship of various parts to entire project, utilizing knowledge of engineering practices and mathematics
- Creating a preliminary and/or final sketch of proposed drawing, using computer-assisted design/drafting equipment
- Incorporate redlines provided by the engineer
- Ability to validate design information (material spec, constructability, etc.)
- Ability to work in a team environment
Skills
- 1 to 5 years AutoCAD Plant 3D

- Ability to move freely for up to 8 hours per day
- Designer with SoCalGas experience preferred
- Knowledge of pipe and fittings, valves, and piping specialties preferred
- Some knowledge of AVEVA (software P&ID, E3D, etc.)
