Data Analyst - Claims

Co-operators is a leading Canadian financial services co-operative committed to sustainability. The Data Analyst role involves analyzing data to solve business problems and providing insights to support the Claims team in achieving business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Autonomously perform descriptive and diagnostic analysis using recommended methods (ex: regression, cohort analysis, cluster analysis, A/B testing, factor analysis)
  • Design and develop metrics to enable descriptive analysis and diagnostic analysis
  • Autonomously design proof of concept and deliver with guidance a prototype analytical solution to enable effective storytelling and descriptive/diagnostic analysis
  • Work on Data querying (T-SQL, SQL, MySQL, etc.)
  • Extract, clean, reconcile and prepare the data required for the analysis
  • Autonomously communicate findings to colleagues and your manager in an effective manner

Skills

  • 1- 3 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence or other relevant domain
  • University Degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent technical experience
  • Good knowledge and understanding of data analysis, programming, modeling techniques, data warehouse and data management, research, architecture and design
  • Experience with the following technologies is required: [TBD during Recruitment Discussion]

  • ACAS or FCAS designations are considered an asset
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
