Data Analyst, DOC

The Fortune Society, Inc. is a leading organization focused on supporting successful reentry from incarceration and promoting alternatives to incarceration. They are seeking a Data Analyst to analyze and report on various data points for their Behavioral Health practice, particularly focusing on a new Department of Corrections initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Directly run reports and conduct ongoing analyses using the agency’s internal databases such as CaseWorthy and EHR, as well as various external contract databases
  • Monitor data entry from staff for accuracy and train/retrain staff as required
  • Advise supervisor on performance trends related to myriad behavioral health contract goals and generate mid-month analysis reports on key metrics, including preliminary forecasting for the month’s Critical Indicators outcomes
  • Coordinate with the Evaluation and Quality Improvement (EQI) team and IT team to develop and update tools that measure KPI’s and track milestones
  • Obtain a working knowledge of the department’s billing practices to serve as a backup to claims billing when necessary
  • Some administrative support required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, public health, human services, or other related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of solid experience with data analysis/management
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of MS 365, including Excel, and a willingness to learn multiple data platforms
  • Must be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and results-driven
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds in a culturally competent manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment across multi-functional teams
  • Relevant personal experience is a plus
