HR Generalist
Aurora is on a mission to deliver the benefits of self-driving technology safely and efficiently. They are seeking a highly organized HR Generalist to act as the initial point of contact for employees on HR-related questions, maintain accurate employee records, and support onboarding and offboarding processes.
Responsibilities
- Effectively prioritize, triage, and resolve Tier 1-2 employee support tickets, submitted through Workday Help
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners, including IT, Workplace, Payroll, People, etc to appropriately resolve employee issues
- Process various transactions in our HRIS (Workday), including hires, terminations, data changes, and organizational changes
- Maintain employee knowledge base articles for people topics, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Support employee onboarding process, including I-9 verification and occasionally leading orientation sessions
- Support employee offboarding process, including separation paperwork
- Regularly audit HRIS data to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including completion of mandatory reporting such as EEO-1, ACA, and HCSO
- Participate in additional ad-hoc projects as needed
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact with highly confidential data with sensitivity, professionalism, and integrity
- Strong people skills and an ability to connect and support employees at all levels
- Deep understanding of HRIS, preferably Workday
