[Remote] HR GENERALIST
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Easterseals Goodwill North Dakota is seeking a detail-oriented, people-focused HR Generalist to support the day-to-day operations of their Human Resources department. This role involves key HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance support.
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes for open positions
- Coordinate background checks, eligibility verification, onboarding, and new hire orientation
- Support benefits and wellness administration, including enrollment, tracking, and team member questions
- Help manage leave and compliance-related programs such as FMLA, WSI, STD, and OSHA documentation
- Represent the organization at job fairs and recruitment events
- Assist in developing job descriptions and interview tools that support effective hiring
- Support unemployment claims documentation and other HR records
- Contribute to HR policy updates and help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of employee information
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of Easterseals Goodwill North Dakota in daily work
Skills
- Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
- Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel minimally as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1–2 years of Human Resources experience
- Preferred proficiency in ADP Workforce Now
