Senior BIM Coordinator, Virtual Construction

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior BIM Coordinator to join our innovative virtual construction team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US, while contributing to significant construction projects across the nation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing, managing, and implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows and standards. You will be instrumental in creating and coordinating 3D models, ensuring constructability, clash detection, and efficient project delivery through digital means. Responsibilities: Lead the implementation and management of BIM processes and standards across various construction projects. Develop, coordinate, and maintain project-specific BIM models (Revit, Navisworks, etc.) for architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. Perform clash detection analysis and coordinate model elements to resolve conflicts before construction begins. Generate 2D drawings, schedules, and reports from BIM models as required for design, fabrication, and construction. Collaborate effectively with project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless model integration and information flow. Provide technical support and training to project team members on BIM software and best practices. Develop and maintain BIM execution plans (BEPs) tailored to individual project requirements. Review shop drawings and submittals for BIM compliance and coordination. Assist in the development of advanced visualization and simulation tools to enhance project understanding and communication. Stay current with the latest advancements in BIM technology and construction methodologies. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our firm's BIM standards and workflows. Ensure that all BIM deliverables meet project specifications and quality standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in BIM coordination and management within the construction industry. Proficiency in industry-standard BIM software, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/ACC. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequencing. Experience with federated models, clash detection, and advanced coordination strategies. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment. Experience with various project delivery methods (e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build). Knowledge of other BIM-related software (e.g., Civil 3D, Navisworks Simulate) is a plus. Certification from buildingSMART or other relevant BIM organizations is beneficial.
