With a legacy built on reliability, innovation, and a relentless focus on customer satisfaction, arenaflex offers a dynamic, fast‑paced environment where every employee plays a vital role in keeping the world moving.

Why This Role Matters

As a Remote Cargo Customer Service Representative, you will be the frontline liaison between arenaflex’s cargo operations and our valued customers. Your dedication will help maintain the integrity of our brand, uphold safety standards, and guarantee that every shipment reaches its destination without delay. This position blends hands‑on logistics with exceptional customer service, offering a unique opportunity to impact both the operational efficiency of our freight network and the experience of our clients.

Position Overview

This full‑time, remote‑first role involves a flexible schedule of 20‑40 hours per week, with the possibility of rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays. You will work closely with a collaborative crew of cargo agents, ground handlers, and logistics specialists to load, unload, and track shipments, while providing courteous and accurate information to customers via phone, email, and chat.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate floor support equipment—including tugs, forklifts, and tow tractors—safely and efficiently in a busy airport environment.
  • Load, unload, and transport cargo and mail to and from aircraft, ensuring each item is handled with care and placed on the correct flight.
  • Maintain accurate records using scanners, handheld computers, and arenaflex’s proprietary tracking system to guarantee proper routing and documentation.
  • Monitor weather conditions and adjust operations as needed, adhering to safety protocols even under adverse circumstances.
  • Protect cargo from damage, loss, and environmental exposure by following established handling procedures.
  • Communicate shipment status, delays, and special handling instructions to customers in a clear, professional manner.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including flight operations, customs, and security—to resolve issues quickly and keep shipments on schedule.
  • Participate in regular safety briefings, equipment inspections, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in training new team members on equipment operation, safety standards, and customer‑service best practices.
  • Provide feedback to management on process enhancements, technology upgrades, and customer‑experience improvements.

Essential Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; additional education or certifications are a plus.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate a forklift, tug, and tow tractor.
  • Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry items up to 50 kg regularly, and up to 70 kg intermittently.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening, physical ability test (PAT), background check, and fingerprinting.
  • Compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, including hearing protection, safety‑toe shoes, and high‑visibility apparel.
  • Readiness to obtain an airport badge with customs clearance and, where applicable, the COVID‑19 vaccination as required by federal regulations.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Prior experience in air cargo handling, logistics, or a related transportation field.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or transportation management software (TMS).
  • Basic computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and email platforms.
  • Customer‑service experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive, “can‑do” attitude.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
