Position: Windows VMware Active Directory Engineer Experience: 12+ Years Employment Type: W2 Visa: H1B Transfer / H1B Candidates Accepted Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Windows VMware Active Directory Engineer with 12+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and supporting large-scale Windows Server, VMware virtualization, and Active Directory environments while ensuring high availability, security, and performance. Required Experience

  • 12+ years of experience in Windows Server Administration.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
  • Extensive experience with Active Directory administration, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity management.
  • Experience supporting enterprise production environments with 24x7 availability.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Key Responsibilities

Windows Server Administration

  • Install, configure, and manage Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments.
  • Perform server provisioning, upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure infrastructure stability.
  • Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions.

Active Directory Administration

  • Manage Active Directory Domains, Forests, Sites, and Trusts.
  • Administer Group Policy Objects (GPO), Organizational Units (OU), and Fine-Grained Password Policies.
  • Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, DFS, ADFS, LDAP, and Certificate Services.
  • Handle user provisioning, access management, and security compliance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot AD replication and authentication issues.

VMware Administration

  • Deploy and manage VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain virtual machines, templates, snapshots, and clusters.
  • Configure HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and Distributed Switches.
  • Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
  • Support VMware upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery activities.

Automation & Scripting

  • Develop PowerShell scripts for infrastructure automation.
  • Automate user provisioning, patch management, and system health checks.
  • Create operational documentation and standard operating procedures.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement Windows security best practices and hardening standards.
  • Support vulnerability remediation and security audits.
  • Manage Windows Updates, WSUS, antivirus, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

  • Exposure to Terraform, Ansible, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Understanding of storage technologies (SAN/NAS/vSAN).

Certifications (Preferred)

  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • ITIL Foundation
