The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Modeler to design, develop, and maintain the data architecture that powers our most critical analytics and business intelligence initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to create robust logical and physical data models that support enterprise-wide decision making. Your work will enable arenaflex to transform raw data into actionable intelligence, helping us serve customers better, optimize operations, and identify new growth opportunities across every market we operate in.

If you are energized by solving complex data challenges at massive scale and want to make a tangible impact on a global stage, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Application Development team to implement comprehensive data strategies, build resilient data pipelines, and develop sustainable, high-performing data models.
  • Design, create, and refine both logical and physical data models following industry best practices to ensure exceptional data quality and support application, batch processing, and interactive analytics use cases.
  • Continuously enhance and update existing data models to support new business initiatives and evolving project requirements in alignment with organizational standards.
  • Develop optimized data modeling solutions for relational, dimensional (layered), and NoSQL database environments.
  • Maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models along with their corresponding metadata repositories to ensure clarity and accessibility across teams.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for standard naming conventions, documentation standards, and coding practices to ensure consistency and maintainability of all data models.
  • Identify opportunities to reuse existing data models in new environments and initiatives, maximizing efficiency and reducing redundancy.
  • Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from existing databases and SQL scripts to support modernization efforts.
  • Evaluate data models and physical databases for inconsistencies, redundancies, and design flaws, recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Validate business data objects for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to data governance standards.
  • Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose scalable, efficient solutions.
  • Mentor and guide Systems Analysts, Architects, Developers, and other team members on project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interface design.
  • Review modifications to existing data systems to improve efficiency, performance, and reliability.
  • Examine new application designs and recommend improvements to enhance data integration and performance.
