With a global footprint and a commitment to scientific rigor, arenaflex blends advanced analytics, robust data engineering, and deep domain expertise to transform raw health data into actionable insights. Our mission is to improve patient outcomes by unlocking the full potential of real‑world data (RWD) across the continuum of care.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s fast‑evolving therapeutic landscape, the ability to generate credible, reproducible evidence from real‑world sources is a competitive advantage. As a Senior RWE Data Analyst you will be at the heart of this transformation, shaping the way arenaflex’s clients understand disease patterns, treatment effectiveness, and health‑economic impact. Your work will directly influence drug development strategies, regulatory submissions, and market access decisions, making a tangible difference in the lives of patients worldwide.

Role Overview

This full‑time, remote position reports to the Chief of Clinical Information Science and sits within the dynamic Scientific Issues Team. You will lead the design, execution, and interpretation of quantitative analyses that answer critical business questions for pharmaceutical sponsors. The role blends data mining, statistical modeling, and data‑visualization expertise with a deep understanding of clinical research methodology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) raw data sets from internal databases and external sources to create a clean, analysis‑ready data lake.
  • Conduct robust statistical analyses—including descriptive modeling, regression, propensity‑score matching, survival analysis, and Bayesian methods—to uncover insights about patient populations and treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with arenaflex’s Clinical Research colleagues to translate business objectives into analytical plans and deliver evidence that supports drug development, health‑economic, and market‑access initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visual reports using arenaflex, arenaflex, or arenaflex (or other BI visualization tools) to communicate findings to internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with privacy regulations while handling protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA and other relevant standards.
  • Lead the design and execution of real‑world evidence studies, including feasibility assessments, protocol development, and statistical analysis plans.
  • Provide methodological guidance on Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ISO, MDD/MDR, and CFR compliance for real‑world evidence projects.
  • Mentor junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and scientific excellence.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in real‑world data sources, analytical techniques, and regulatory expectations to keep arenaflex at the forefront of the industry.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience designing and executing quantitative analyses in the context of disease epidemiology, health‑services research, or pharmaceutical RWE projects.
  • Statistical Expertise: Proficiency with statistical methods including linear and logistic regression, survival analysis, propensity‑score matching, hierarchical modeling, and time‑series analysis.
  • Data Management: Demonstrated ability to work with large, multi‑source data sets, perform data cleaning, normalization, and integration.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with GCP, ISO, MDD/MDR, and CFR guidelines as they pertain to real‑world evidence generation.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience using at least one of the following data‑visualization platforms: arenaflex, arenaflex, arenaflex, or comparable BI tools.
  • Compliance: Experience handling protected patient health information with strict adherence to privacy and security standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (PhD, MSc, or equivalent) in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Hands‑on experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, health‑IT, disease registries, and claims data.
  • Knowledge of clinical terminology and controlled vocabularies such as ICD‑9/10, SNOMED CT, and Read Codes.
  • Experience with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) compliance and real‑world evidence regulatory submissions.
  • Familiarity with exploratory data analysis, Bayesian modeling, machine learning pipelines, and advanced analytics techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and validate novel data sources, including digital health platforms and wearable device data.
  • Strong publication record in peer‑reviewed journals or conference presentations related to real‑world evidence.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to translate complex business problems into clear, testable hypotheses and rigorous analytical approaches.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting technical findings to both scientific and non‑technical audiences.
  • Collaboration: Proven track record of working effectively in cross‑functional teams, including clinicians, data engineers, and project managers.
  • Problem‑Solving: Resourceful and proactive in identifying data gaps, methodological challenges, and innovative solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: Commitment to delivering high‑quality, reproducible analyses with thorough documentation.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating a fast‑paced, remote work environment while meeting tight project timelines.
