Junior Software Engineer

Crew is a company that helps clients deliver change through IT project delivery and business process improvement. They are seeking a Junior Software Engineer who will work on software development solutions, develop productivity skills, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Able to work with guidance on software development/solutions
  • With guidance, develop productivity skills by learning source control, editors, the build system, and other tools as well as automated testing best practices

Skills

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preference in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or a math-related field plus 1-3 years of experience
  • Basic planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required
  • Proficiency with database applications, knowledge of mainframe, distributed and/or web programming language
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Must have the desire and ability to learn new technology and continuously grow
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with both IT and non-IT partners
  • Some travel may be required, including overnight stays
  • May be required to provide on-call support
  • Ability to obtain certification(s) in an IT related field is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products preferred
  • Basic leadership skills preferred
