[Remote] Background Screening Research Associate

This fully remote position involves conducting comprehensive background investigations and maintaining accurate documentation while adhering to strict confidentiality standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive background investigations, including address history traces, social security number validations, and database searches
• Research and retrieve records from federal, state, and county court systems
• Analyze and interpret criminal background checks and other licensing requirements
• Communicate professionally with sources via phone, email, and online platforms
• Maintain accurate documentation while upholding strict confidentiality and compliance standards

Skills

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus
• Ability to obtain Basic FCRA Certification (training provided)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to follow detailed procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and virtual communication tools (Teams, Zoom, etc.)
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure
• Typing speed of at least 45 WPM with high accuracy
• Must have a dedicated private workspace with high-speed internet and a wired (Ethernet) connection
• Prior experience in background research, compliance, customer service, or investigative roles is preferred
