The CLTI Internship Program is a structured 12-week experience that combines real-world work with professional AI-augmented workforce development. You will contribute directly to CLTI's growth while building transferable skills, a portfolio of real deliverables, and the career readiness to thrive in your next opportunity. Position Summary We are looking for a mission-driven, detail-oriented Recruiting Intern to join our team. In this role, you will manage CLTI's full recruiting cycle- from posting job listings and reviewing applications to evaluating AI-powered interviews, sending offer letters, and onboarding new interns. Your work will directly shape the team that powers CLTI's mission. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in talent acquisition, recruiting operations, and people management- in a real organization, with real results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the coordination and execution of AI-assisted recruitment strategies at scale.
  • Sourcing candidates through job boards, social media, and professional networks via data-driven approach.
  • Operating AI screening agents to automate evaluation, interpreting quantitative and behavioral assessments.
  • Scheduling interviews and maintaining clear communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Supporting the creation and posting of job descriptions, applying analytical insights to optimize fit.
  • Maintaining and updating applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment databases for pipeline analysis.
  • Participating in team meetings, providing data-informed progress updates, and collaborating on initiatives.
  • Assisting in employer branding efforts, including outreach messages and materials for prospective candidates.
  • Proposing quantitative observations or special projects applying academic knowledge to strengthen recruiting.
  • Preparing reports and summaries on recruitment metrics, candidate pipelines, and AI tool performance.

Learning Objectives By the end of the 12-week program, you will be able to:

  • Provide applied experience at the intersection of human capital management and AI-driven data systems.
  • Develop practical competencies in AI agent operation, structured data interpretation, and evidence-based candidate decision-making.
  • Offer exposure to real-world nonprofit operations and the applied use of hybrid quantitative-qualitative analytical frameworks in workforce development.

Program Deliverables Throughout the 12 weeks, you will produce:

  • Weekly job listings published across four platforms
  • A managed candidate pipeline covering multiple roles from application to onboarding
  • Final capstone presentation with pipeline metrics, key learnings, and a process improvement proposal

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Passionate about CLTI's mission and committed to social impact
  • Strong written communication skills- you can write clearly, professionally, and with care
  • Organized and detail-oriented- you keep records accurate and pipelines up to date without being reminded
  • Self-motivated and proactive- you take initiative and go beyond what is asked
  • Comfortable making judgment calls about people and communicating decisions with empathy
  • Communicates openly- if something comes up, you say so instead of going silent
  • Prior experience in recruiting, HR, customer service, or people-facing roles is a plus but not required
  • Students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals are encouraged to apply

  • Format: Remote
  • Schedule: Flexible, approximately 20 hours per week
  • Duration: 12 weeks
  • Compensation: Volunteer / unpaid internship
  • Meeting commitment: Weekly team meeting + onboarding session (Week 1 only)
