Position Overview – What You’ll Do

As a Remote Data Entry & Risk Analytics Specialist at arenaflex, you will be a critical member of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and compliance data team. Your primary responsibility is to collect, cleanse, and transform data from a variety of internal systems, turning raw information into actionable insights that drive risk‑mitigation strategies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, extract, and validate data from disparate sources—including ERP, CRM, and third‑party platforms—to support ERM, compliance, and risk‑assessment initiatives.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visual reports using Power BI, Tableau, and other BI tools, enabling stakeholders to monitor risk exposure and control effectiveness in real time.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and business leaders to translate complex data sets into clear, narrative‑driven insights that inform strategic decision‑making.
  • Apply advanced analytics techniques and statistical modeling (using R or Python) to uncover trends, correlations, and emerging risk areas.
  • Develop custom queries and data pipelines in SQL and BigQuery to automate data collection and improve data reliability.
  • Continuously refine ERM processes by soliciting feedback, incorporating new data sources, and recommending enhancements to risk‑assessment methodologies.
  • Produce high‑quality documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and reproducibility of analytical work.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings, sprint reviews, and cross‑functional workshops to align analytics deliverables with business objectives.

Essential Qualifications – What We’re Looking For

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau (including Tableau Prep), Google BigQuery, PowerApps, and Dataiku.
  • Analytical Acumen: Demonstrated ability to apply statistical methods and data‑science techniques using R or Python to solve complex business problems.
  • Risk & Compliance Knowledge: Prior exposure to legal, compliance, ERM, or risk‑assessment environments is highly desirable.
  • Visualization Skills: Strong portfolio of data visualizations that tell compelling stories and drive actionable outcomes.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn new tools, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Self‑Management: Proven track record of thriving in a remote, autonomous work setting while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications – Nice‑to‑Have Extras

  • Experience with cloud‑based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) and data‑integration platforms.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, or SOX.
  • Certification in data analytics, risk management, or related fields (e.g., CAP, CRISC).
  • Background in retail or e‑commerce data environments.
  • Proficiency in additional programming languages such as JavaScript or Scala.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Critical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex problems, identify root causes, and propose data‑driven solutions.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams across geography and time zones.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data quality, validation, and documentation.
  • Time Management: Efficiently prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced, part‑time schedule.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to pivot between projects and adopt emerging technologies.
