Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-06-14

Join arenaflex as a Commercial Planning Supervisor – Powering the Future of Streaming Strategy

Are you a commercially minded business analyst with a passion for turning complex data into clear strategy? Do you thrive in fast-moving, global B2C environments where every decision impacts millions of customers? arenaflex is looking for a forward-thinking, analytically driven Commercial Planning Supervisor to join our high-performing Streaming Trading team and help shape the future of digital entertainment across international markets.

This is not just another analyst role. This is your opportunity to sit at the intersection of business strategy, financial planning, marketing performance, and customer growth, working with iconic entertainment brands beloved by audiences around the world. If you are energized by the challenge of optimizing subscriber acquisition, retention, and lifetime value at scale, this role offers the platform, the visibility, and the impact you have been looking for.

About arenaflex and the Role

arenaflex is a global leader in digital entertainment, home to some of the most recognizable and beloved storytelling brands in the world. From timeless animation and cinematic blockbusters to groundbreaking original series and documentary programming, our content reaches hundreds of millions of fans across Europe, Africa, the Americas, and beyond. We are building the next generation of streaming experiences, and our Commercial Planning function sits at the very heart of that mission.

The Commercial Planning Supervisor will be a core member of our newly established Business Performance and Planning team. This team exists to deliver a unified, real-time view of trading performance across our flagship streaming platform, driving insight-led decision-making that accelerates subscriber growth, improves marketing efficiency, and shapes long-term commercial strategy. You will work in close partnership with brand and performance marketing teams, country-level commercial leads, business development, strategy, finance, and analytics teams across multiple regions and time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning Model Ownership: Support the design, development, and continuous improvement of foundational planning models, including the annual operating plan model and the monthly forecasting model. This includes building executive-level summary views, streamlining calculations, and clearly documenting inputs, assumptions, and sensitivities.
  • Strategic Planning Support: Contribute to the development of annual strategy, quarterly business reviews, and monthly or bi-monthly forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment between regional ambitions and global commercial objectives.
  • Business Case Modeling: Build robust business cases and scenario models to support critical decisions on pricing, go-to-market strategies, promotional optimization, and monetization levers across diverse markets.
  • Performance Deep-Dives: Lead and support ad-hoc, deep-dive analyses on the key drivers of past quarter performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities that inform forward-looking planning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with regional capabilities, business development, finance, and local market teams, as well as US-based ad sales and finance counterparts, to ensure a connected view of trading performance.
  • Executive Reporting: Prepare clear, concise, and compelling business updates and performance summaries for senior leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • Insight Generation: Proactively identify gaps in current reporting and recommend new analyses, dashboards, or processes that elevate the team's ability to influence commercial outcomes.

What We Are Looking For

You do not need to be a seasoned executive to excel here, but you do need intellectual curiosity, commercial instinct, and a genuine love of working with data to solve real business problems. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical horsepower with excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at every level.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Proven experience working in data-driven environments, with a demonstrable track record of using data to inform and drive business decisions.
  • High numeracy and strong analytical capability, with rigorous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging and presentations for varied audiences, including country teams, global functions, and executive leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple project timelines and deadlines running in parallel.
  • A positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude, with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
  • Comfort working in a remote, distributed team environment and collaborating across multiple time zones.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in subscription-based or streaming business models, digital media, e-commerce, or other high-volume B2C environments.
  • Familiarity with financial planning cycles, marketing performance metrics, and subscriber lifecycle analytics.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Excel modeling, and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience working with international teams and an appreciation for cultural and market diversity.

Skills and Competencies for Success

Success in this role requires more than technical skill. We are looking for someone who can balance the head and the heart, who can build a model in the morning and present its implications to a senior stakeholder in the afternoon. You will need to be comfortable with ambiguity, energized by change, and motivated by the impact your work has on a business that touches millions of lives every day.

  • Analytical Rigor: The ability to structure complex problems, build logical frameworks, and draw defensible conclusions from imperfect data.
  • Commercial Acumen: A natural curiosity about why performance is moving in a particular direction and what actions could accelerate growth.
  • Storytelling with Data: The ability to translate numbers into narratives that resonate with non-technical audiences.
  • Stakeholder Management: The confidence and empathy to build trusted relationships with colleagues across functions, regions, and seniority levels.
  • Agility: The ability to shift seamlessly between long-term strategic thinking and short-term operational detail.
  • Continuous Improvement: A mindset that constantly questions the status quo and looks for smarter, faster, better ways of working.
