[Remote] Human Resources Information System Specialist [82222]
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Onward Search is seeking a highly experienced HRIS Specialist / Dayforce Expert to join their team. This role is critical in driving HR technology efficiency, improving data integrity, and enhancing the employee experience across the organization by managing the Ceridian Dayforce platform.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Ceridian Dayforce, owning system configuration, maintenance, and enhancements
- Manage and optimize modules such as Core HR, Benefits, Time & Attendance, Payroll, and Talent
- Troubleshoot system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement scalable solutions
- Partner with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to streamline workflows and improve system usability
- Lead system upgrades, testing cycles, and releases, ensuring minimal disruption
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data analytics to support business decisions
- Ensure data accuracy, compliance, and security across the HRIS ecosystem
- Support integrations between Dayforce and other internal/external systems
- Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and training materials for end users
Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on Ceridian Dayforce experience (REQUIRED)
- Proven expertise configuring and supporting multiple Dayforce modules
- Strong understanding of HR operations, payroll processes, and compliance requirements
- Experience with system implementations, upgrades, and integrations
- Advanced reporting skills and comfort working with HR data
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in a multi-state or enterprise environment
- Exposure to data migrations or Dayforce implementations
- Knowledge of HRIS best practices and process optimization
