[Remote] Security Engineer

The role involves supporting enterprise security operations, assisting with threat management, and collaborating with various teams to enhance security posture.
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance enterprise security operations and security technologies
- Assist with email security administration and threat management
- Participate in security investigations, incident response activities, and threat analysis
- Support identity and access management initiatives
- Assist with vulnerability identification, remediation, and security improvement efforts
- Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and technology teams to strengthen security posture
- Help identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes and improve operational efficiency
- Research emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and proactive security thinking
Skills
- Experience with cybersecurity operations or security engineering
- Experience with email security platforms (Mimecast experience is a plus)
- Experience with incident response or threat analysis
- Experience with vulnerability management
- Experience with Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) technologies
- Experience with Identity and Access Management
- Experience with Linux or Windows administration
- Experience with Python, scripting, or automation
- Experience with cloud technologies
- Experience with AI tools, automation, or personal technology projects
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
