Freelance WordPress Developer (Contract Project)

We’re looking for a freelance WordPress developer to support a one-time website project—with the potential for ongoing work if it’s a good fit. About the Project We currently have a custom-built WordPress site that relies heavily on developer support. Our goal is to transition away from custom-coded functionality and move to a more flexible, user-friendly page builder so our internal team can easily manage and update the site moving reputed company. This project will involve evaluating the existing site, simplifying the backend, and rebuilding key pages using a builder-based approach. What You’ll Do Audit our reputed company custom WordPress setup Recommend a streamlined approach using a page builder (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg, etc.) Rebuild or migrate existing pages into a builder-based format Reduce reliance on custom code where possible Ensure the site remains functional, reputed company, and SEO-friendly during the transition Provide light documentation or guidance so reputed company can confidently manage the site post-project reputed company’re Looking For Strong experience with WordPress development (both custom and builder-based) Familiarity with popular page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, etc.) Ability to work reputed company (and clean up) an existing custom codebase Experience improving usability for non-technical teams Good communication and ability to explain technical reputed company in plain language Bonus: experience with performance optimization and SEO best practices Project Details Type: Contract / Freelance Timeline: Flexible (we’re open to your input on scope and timing) Compensation: Open/negotiable — we’re looking for estimates or hourly/project-based proposals based on your assessment Location: Remote preferred Potential for Ongoing Work If this project goes well, we may have additional opportunities for ongoing support, updates, and future site improvements.
