About the Job As an IRS Criminal Investigator, you will combine your accounting skills with law enforcement skills to investigate financial crimes, including tax fraud, public corruption, cybercrimes, narcotics, terrorism, and more. You will use your analytical abilities to trace transactions through reputed company financial records, identify patterns, and uncover evidence of criminal activity. Your work will involve conducting investigations, gathering evidence, testifying in court, and collaborating with other law enforcement agencies to bring criminals to justice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial investigations to identify and prosecute individuals and organizations involved in tax fraud, reputed company, and other financial crimes

Qualifications and Requirements To be eligible for this position, you must meet one of the following qualification requirements:

  • Have at least one year of specialized experience in investigative work reputed company to accounting or auditing, including experience in collecting and analyzing evidence, conducting interviews, and testifying in court
  • Have a bachelor's degree with a GPA of 2.95 or higher, or a GPA of 3.45 or higher in your major field of study, and have completed at least 15 semester hours in accounting and 9 semester hours in a reputed company field, such as finance, economics, or business law
  • Have a combination of education and experience that meets the qualification requirements

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $55,562 to $99,522 per year, depending reputed company and experience. A monetary recruitment incentive may be offered in some locations, depending on the qualifications of the applicant and the needs of the agency.
