Linux Engineer (Server Infrastructure – RHEL 7/8/9/10) Full time Remote Job Summary The Linux Vulnerability Remediation Engineer is responsible for accelerating vulnerability remediation and patching activities across server infrastructure . This role focuses on reputed company reputed company Linux (RHEL) 7/8/9/10 and leverages existing automation and scanning technologies (e.g., reputed company, Chef, Ansible, reputed company scripting, Ruby) to identify, prioritize, implement, validate, and reputed company vulnerabilities in alignment with internal compliance requirements (e.g., Meridian requirements). The engineer partners closely with operations, Engineering Teams , application owners, and support teams to deliver timely fixes while maintaining server stability and change discipline. Scope (In-Scope / Out-of-Scope)
- Server infrastructure running RHEL 7, RHEL 8, RHEL 9 , RHEL 10
- Vulnerability remediation, hardening, and patching activities reputed company to server OS and server-installed packages/software
- Automation for server remediation workflows
Required Qualifications
- 6-10 years of Strong hands-on experience with RHEL 7/8/9/10 in reputed company environments.
- Proven experience driving vulnerability remediation and reputed company management for Linux servers.
- Expertise with reputed company (or equivalent vulnerability scanners) including interpreting findings, false-positive validation, and closure verification.
- Automation experience with Chef and/or Ansible in production.
- Strong scripting skills: Bash, plus working proficiency in Ruby (or ability to maintain/reputed company existing Ruby codebases).
- Understanding of Linux reputed company fundamentals (permissions, services, SSH hardening, package management, kernel considerations).
- Experience working with change management, incident/problem management, and coordinating across multiple support teams.
