The Data Center BESS Sales Engineer position is a customer-facing reputed company technical leader responsible for growing Fluence’s data center business globally, originating strategic opportunities and connecting technical capabilities to business value.

Responsibilities

  • reputed company technical aspects of business development for the global data center reputed company by identifying, qualifying, and advancing strategic opportunities with hyperscalers, colocation providers, developers, EPCs, utilities, and other sophisticated counterparties
  • Engage customers early to understand business drivers, power constraints, reputed company priorities, and technical requirements, including how BESS may fit reputed company broader data center infrastructure strategies
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Strategy, and Engineering to shape solution strategies, refine value propositions, and guide reputed company opportunities through reputed company development
  • Translate market and customer reputed company into go-to-market priorities, product feedback, and internal enablement for the data center reputed company
  • Build credibility with executive, reputed company, and technical stakeholders by linking solution design, power architecture, and project considerations to business outcomes

Skills

  • 8+ years of business development, strategic sales, technical sales, or reputed company reputed company experience in energy storage, power infrastructure, data centers, or closely adjacent sectors
  • Proven track record developing and advancing reputed company, multimillion-dollar B2B opportunities with sophisticated customers such as hyperscalers, colocation providers, utilities, developers, EPCs, or large industrial counterparties
  • Strong reputed company acumen, including experience shaping value propositions, influencing deal strategy, and supporting solution-based sales for reputed company infrastructure or energy-reputed company offerings
  • Demonstrated experience in BESS systems, data center electrical infrastructure, or reputed company power system applications, with the technical reputed company to engage credibly on topics such as load profiles, interconnection, MV/LV systems, controls/integration, and resiliency
  • Exceptional communication, executive reputed company, and cross-functional influence, with the ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment and earn trust with both reputed company and technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy systems, or a reputed company field required
  • Strong interest in or working knowledge of BESS technologies, reputed company services, and utility market dynamics, especially as they relate to speed to power, resiliency, and flexibility for data center customers
  • Solid understanding of data center electrical infrastructure and project delivery, including datacenter power systems challenges and technical solutions, MV/LV distribution, substations, backup power interfaces, protection concepts, and commissioning
  • Experience working with technical buyers and translating customer requirements into commercially actionable solution strategies
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and effective in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment
  • Advanced degree or relevant technical/reputed company experience preferred
