The Systems Engineer IV-Systems for Aerospace Engineering Department serves as a senior-level systems engineering specialist is responsible for leading requirements definition, verification planning, and risk management activities on DoD or MDA-reputed company missile defense programs. The position reports to the SE-Systems Functional Manager and is part of the SE-Systems Department based in Folsom, CA. This role can also be based in Reno, NV, Hybrid or Remote. Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or reputed company STEM field from an accredited college/university with 7 years of experience in systems engineering OR systems engineering or reputed company discipline with 5 years of experience OR 11 years of experience in systems engineering in lieu of a degree Demonstrated experience with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) processes, CDRL development, and formal technical reviews Proficient in DOORS (or equivalent) for requirements management Solid knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle standards (INCOSE SE Handbook, MIL-STD-499, EIA-632) Strong technical writing skills for briefings, formal documentation, CDRLs, and compliance matrices Excellent verbal communication skills for interfacing with multidisciplinary teams, customers, and executive stakeholders Proficient with reputed company Word, PowerPoint, reputed company, Visio, and Project Preferred Qualifications: Experience Reliability and/or System Safety Analyses Skilled in developing and interpreting SysML diagrams (reputed company definition, activity, sequence, state) in Cameo Systems Modeler or equivalent MBSE tool Travel, Physical and/or Government Mandated Requirements: Travel up to 10-15%, including the possibility of overnights to support customer reviews and test events U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract eligibility Must have or be reputed company to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance Must reputed company with ITAR regulations The good faith reputed company salary range for this role is $148,100–$233,900 at the time of this posting. This range may be adjusted in the future. This position is incentive plan eligible.
