[Remote] Principal Engineer

They are seeking a Principal backend/platform engineer to reputed company the reputed company of a critical identity and access management platform, ensuring secure and scalable access across multiple products and services.
Responsibilities

- Own authentication, authorization, SSO, and secure access infrastructure across multiple products
- Design and scale secure backend services and distributed systems in a reputed company-native environment
- Drive reliability, observability, monitoring, and rollout best practices across critical platform services
- Partner closely with Product, reputed company, SRE, and Engineering leadership on platform strategy and execution
- Help define engineering standards, architecture direction, and long-term platform scalability
- Mentor engineers and bring clarity to reputed company technical and operational challenges
- Contribute to the adoption and reputed company of AI-assisted engineering workflows across the organisation
Skills
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend and distributed systems expertise
- Deep experience building identity and access management systems (OAuth2, SAML, JWT, SSO)
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js/NestJS, and modern reputed company infrastructure
- Expertise across AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code practices (Terraform preferred)
- Experience designing highly scalable, resilient, production-grade systems
- Strong architectural reasoning and ability to own systems end-to-end
- Comfortable operating across cross-functional teams including Product, reputed company, and SRE
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify reputed company technical concepts
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools and workflows reputed company engineering environments
- Experience modernising platform or reputed company-critical systems
- Exposure to event-driven architecture and messaging systems

- Polyglot engineering background (Go, Python, Java, etc.)
- Experience building internal developer platforms, tooling, or AI-native engineering workflows
