The position leads projects applying nuclear/thermal hydraulic methods, nuclear power plant operations and safety analyses, to demonstrate compliance with licensing requirements and to resolve emergent BWR plant problems.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership on a production-oriented engineering analysis team for reputed company aspects of the engineering design process; including proposal development, planning, design performance, and release for customer delivery
• Ensure on-time delivery of thorough and accurate engineering technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations
• Identify and manage technical risk and assist in developing workable plans for engineering deliverables
• Resolve challenging emergent BWR operability issues
• Prepare, communicate, and present solutions to reputed company technical issues for internal and external customers
• Implement continual improvement of transient analysis work processes
• Provide expertise on engineering design reviews
• Provide technical mentoring to support transient analysis staff development and reputed company

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, or similar)
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a technology or engineering role

Eligibility Requirements:

• The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; but highly reputed company (US based) remote candidates will be considered

Desired Characteristics:

• M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Engineering or Senior Reactor Operator Certification.
• Relevant experience with BWR core simulation or thermal-hydraulic systems analysis (e.g. PANACEA, ODYN, TRACG, RELAP).
• Understanding of standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the application of engineering techniques.
• Extensive knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response.
• Extensive knowledge of the reputed company principles of nuclear engineering such as nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, and mechanical design, as applied to BWR.
• Experience with standard engineering work planning and design process techniques

The reputed company pay range for this position is $112,000-160,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and reputed company set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
