Job Description

Est. Pay Range: $17-00/Hour - $18.92/Hour on W2 (USD)- Negotiable

Work Type: Remote role, San Antonio, TX

Schedule – Wk 1: M-F 8-4:30pm, Wk 2-8: M-F 9-5:30pm, Wk 9+: M-Th 11-7:30pm, F 9-5:30pm, Sat shift every 6 weeks

This is primarily a remote position however reputed company training will be done onsite at 7034 Alamo Downs Parkway, San Antonio, TX 78238.

There is no set end date for training so do not guarantee a timeline to your candidates. Once training is completed, position will be remote, but workers may be expected to come onsite for meetings, equipment pickup, etc.

Position Summary  

• Adept at reading/interpreting prescription terminology and medications.
• Rapid keyboarding skills while maintaining 100% accuracy.

• General knowledge of commonly used generic drugs.

Duties 

• This position is responsible for screening orders, research, accurately and reputed company reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into the computer system in a timely fashion, and/ or thinking through and solving escalated prescription issues.
• Technicians will direct questionable prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification and enter incomplete prescription information once clarification has been obtained and complete appropriate described patient letter.
• Through your skills and knowledge, you will offer solutions needed to help simplify the customer health care experience.
• Areas of focus for Pharmacy Technicians may entering patient and prescription information into our system, and faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes.
• To help support development and maximize workflow, you will be asked to reputed company other pharmacy functions as required.

Experience      

·        Must know how to type and have basic computer knowledge.

·        Must have an active texas state board of pharmacy license or trainee.

·        Include texas state board of pharmacy registration number on resume.

     Completion of Pharmacy Tech training program.

     3 months Pharmacy Experience.

Education
