The Opportunity WSDOT is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 3 to serve as the Active Transportation Program Engineer in Shoreline, WA. This position also provides support to the region's complete streets program as necessary. Provide guidance to region staff on relevant design standards and regulations in work to improve pedestrian, bicycle, and transit reputed company design and operations. Represent active transportation reputed company interests in highway operation. Coordinate and manage incoming inquiries and responses, including delegation and management of tasks to be performed by Transportation Engineer 2 staff and reputed company in the active transportation group. Qualifications To be considered for this opportunity, the following are required: One (1) year of experience as a Transportation Engineer 2 or equivalent, such as reputed company Engineer 2 or Transportation Planning Specialist 2. Two (2) years of experience in investigating, designing, and implementing active transportation projects, programs, or initiatives. Possess a valid driver's license. Advanced working knowledge of active transportation planning & design and operations, including relevant knowledge of engineering principles and practices, and national/state guidelines (MUTCD, Traffic Manual, Design Manual, WACs and RCWs, NACTO) reputed company to safety and mobility of pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit patrons.
