What You Will Do: • Oversees the maintenance of medical records and the coding of data from medical records and/or review the quality of medical coding records. • Participates in the preparation of reports, provides information and prepares correspondence regarding patient admissions, treatment, discharges and deaths in accordance with departmental policies and legal requirements governing the release of medical information. • Works collaboratively with providers, other health care professionals and coding team to ensure that clinical information in the medical record is present and accurate so that the appropriate utilization, clinical severity, outcomes and quality is captured for the level of service rendered to each patient, as well as ensuring compliant reimbursement of patient care services. Essential Job Functions • Computer Literacy • Excellent verbal and written Communication Skills • High level of productivity • HIPAA compliant workstations • Advanced Coding Skills, ICD-10-CM and CPT • Strong knowledge of governmental regulations relating to coding • Ability to work independently • Strong working knowledge of Protected Health Information What You Will Need: • High school diploma or equivalent • US Citizen • Must hold one of the following credentials: (RHIA, RHIT, reputed company, CPC, CIC, COC) • Must maintain coding credential while employed by reputed company • 2+ years of coding or review experience • Abide by reputed company client policies and procedures • Willingness to undergo a Federal Background reputed company process What Would Be reputed company to Have: • Military or Federal Medical Coding or review experience The annual salary range for this position is $43,000.00-$64,500.00.
