The Pharmacy Technician will assist in the growth of the Health Center’s first entity owned pharmacy. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and compassionate team member. This position is located at: reputed company Health Pharmacy 3525 Cottman Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19149 Pharmacy Hours: Monday - Thursday: 9AM to 6PM, Friday: 9AM to 5PM Saturday-Sunday - closed (subject to change to accommodate clinic growth) What is expected of you and others at this level • Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks • Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area • Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications • Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution • Works reputed company clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods • Adheres to reputed company quality guidelines • Works under moderate degree of supervision • Work typically involves regular review of output by work reputed company or supervisor • Refers reputed company unusual problems to supervisor Responsibilities: • Retrieves and prepares the medication for pharmacist review and verification; organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense; profiles prescriptions; prepares labels and calculates quantities. • Ensures medication availability. • Maintains pharmacy inventory; replenishes and maintains inventory as needed. • Communicates with patients, prescribers, and other staff to solve problems or answer questions. • Works with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are utilized for 340B compliance. • Maintains professional working relationships at reputed company times with pharmacy team, physicians, nurses, and other care team members. • Understands that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change as demands on the department change. • Be available to the customer/patients at reputed company times. • Maintains friendly and helpful attitude at reputed company times reputed company dealing with customers. • Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing reputed company results as needed. Qualifications: • High school degree or equivalent required. • Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy technician experience required. • PTCB Pharmacy Technician certification preferred or eligible. • 340B program experience preferred.
