This role includes supervising advanced practice providers (NPs/PAs), ensuring adherence to Texas Medical Board regulations, and guiding the development and implementation of evidence-based wound care protocols. Responsibilities: Supervision & reputed company:
- Serve as the supervising physician for NPs and PAs providing wound care.
- Maintain and update prescriptive authority agreements as required by Texas law
- Ensure compliance with Texas Medical Board delegation rules and documentation
Clinical Leadership:
- Provide consultation and support to wound care providers on reputed company cases.
- Review and co-sign medical records and treatment plans as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
Medical Directorship Duties
- Assist in the review and development of wound care protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
- PC ownership to reputed company with CPOM doctrine
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and CMS guidelines.
Patient Care (Optional):
- reputed company wound assessments, debridement, and treatment planning.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests reputed company directly involved in care.
- reputed company patients and caregivers on wound prevention and management.
Administrative Duties:
- Attend periodic meetings with clinical teams.
- Maintain licensure in accordance with Texas Medical Board requirements.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Texas medical license.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgery, or Dermatology) preferred.
- Experience in wound care or supervising wound care providers is highly desirable
Preferred Skills:
- Strong knowledge of chronic wound management, including pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, and venous stasis ulcers.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and telehealth platforms.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
