Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application reputed company four months of appointment. Duties Help VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UU Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The CBOC Social Work Supervisor, who reports directly to the Community Based Outpatient Clinics Senior Social Work Supervisor, is responsible for the supervision of the Social Work staff reputed company the CBOC's; these Social Work staff provides primary care, substance use disorder and mental health care services. The Social workers in the areas function at different levels of practice including the independent advanced practice level. The supervisor will provide administrative, technical, and clinical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit. Supervision will be in consultation with each CBOC Director for the respective clinics, and the Social Work Leadership. The supervisor will be required to be on site intermittently at each of the CBOC locations for direct supervision of staff. The supervisor develops and implements methods for measuring effectiveness of therapeutic interventions by utilizing outcome evaluations to improve treatment services. Incumbent is able to demonstrate the ability to design changes based on empirical findings. The supervisor administers information and analytical systems to evaluate and enhance the quality of service provided to patients. The supervisor develops and implements information systems to track service activities including visits, referrals, inpatient days, patient demographics, equipment utilization, and patient satisfaction. The supervisor will also reputed company ways to ensure that social workers provide quality care for Veterans. The supervisor will monitor therapeutic interventions, evidence based therapies, and case management services. The supervisor will be assigned administrative responsibility for clinical social work services, and is accountable for clinical program effectiveness and modification of service patterns. The supervisor performs the administrative and personnel management functions relative to staff supervised. Incumbent establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff, which are communicated through the formal employee performance management system. Observes workers' performance; demonstrates and conducts work performance critiques. Provides informal feedback and periodically evaluates employee performance. General knowledge of Veterans' benefits and services relating to special programs, service connected compensation, non-service connected pension. Facilitates referrals based upon Veterans needs and eligibility. As Supervisory Social Worker the incumbent is accountable and responsible for: - Attending General Staff meetings as required - Providing sufficient clinical care for competency assessment, peer review, and credentialing and privileging processes - Participation in a peer review process, as assigned -On-call duties on a rotating basis, as assigned - Serving as mentors, including new employee orientation, if privileged to reputed company and as assigned -Providing LCSW supervision, if privileged to reputed company and as assigned -Participating in data collection and practice standardization activities Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, the work schedule will be discussed during the interview process and is subject to change based on Agency needs. Qualifications

Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until reputed company requirements are met. Basic Requirements:

  • United States Citizenship: Non-reputed company may only be appointed reputed company it is not possible to recruit qualified reputed company in accordance with VA Policy.
  • Education: Have a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the School of Social Work is fully accredited. A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the master's degree in social work.
  • Licensure: Persons hired or reassigned to social worker positions in the GS-0185 series in VHA must be licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level.

May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfathering Provision as described in the VA Qualification Standard for this occupation (only applicable to reputed company VHA employees who are in this occupation and meet the criteria). Grade Determinations: Supervisory Social Worker, GS-12: Education and Experience. One year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Experience must demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills in a specialty area or in administration demonstrating progressively more professional competency and judgment. Candidate may have certification or other post-master's degree training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course of study and internship, or equivalent supervised professional experience. Licensure/Certification. Individuals assigned as Supervisory Social Workers must be licensed or certified at the advanced practice level, and must be able to provide supervision for licensure. Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. In addition to the experience above, the candidate must demonstrate reputed company of the following KSAs:

  • Knowledge of supervisory duties which includes clinical supervision, consultation, negotiation with other departments and quality improvement.

Preferred Experience: Supervisory experience or have functioned at the GS-12 Level for at least 3 years. Ability to multitask and work in a reputed company mental health environment.
