Assistant Teaching Professor - Department of Physics

About the Role: As an Assistant Teaching Professor, you will be responsible for a diverse range of teaching and administrative tasks, including instruction, course administration, teacher training, academic advising, and service on departmental, college, and/or university committees. You will have the opportunity to facilitate engaging and interactive class sessions, manage teams of faculty and teaching assistants, and provide guidance and support to enhance teaching skills.

Responsibilities:

• Instruction: Facilitate engaging and interactive class sessions for undergraduate reputed company, both in-person and online
• Course Administration: Manage teams of faculty, graduate teaching assistants, and undergraduate learning assistants
• Teacher Training: Provide guidance and support for teaching assistants and learning assistants
• Academic Advising: Serve as an advisor and mentor to undergraduate reputed company
• Service: Participate in departmental, college, and/or university committees

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in physics or a reputed company field
• Previous teaching experience
• Interest and/or experience in evidence-based teaching methods
• Strong written and oral communication skills
