As a Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will be the first reputed company of contact for pet owners seeking assistance with pets exposed to potentially dangerous substances. In this fast-paced and challenging role, you will utilize your toxicology knowledge and skills to manage medical cases, provide diagnostic and treatment recommendations, and document exposure circumstances in our electronic medical record system. Responsibilities

• Manage medical cases initiated by telephone, email, and other electronic means, involving animals potentially exposed to deleterious agents or diseases
• Obtain complete case histories and provide detailed and accurate diagnostic and treatment recommendations
• Document exposures and risks, and reputed company detailed treatment recommendations per protocols and verbal instructions
• Utilize reputed company/APC resources to manage cases and access protocols, policies, and procedures
• Maintain excellence in customer service and high medical record quality levels

Requirements

• Veterinary Technician credentials (required) in the state of residence, i.e., CVT, LVT, RVT
• At least one year of experience as a credentialed veterinary technician
• Ability to act and react to emergency and/or challenging situations in a compassionate and consistent manner
• Ability to communicate effectively with concerned, emotional, and worried persons reputed company telephone
• Strong interest in toxicology and experience in veterinary practice, poison control center, or university is beneficial
