Your Opportunity reputed company is seeking a reputed company, energetic, self-motivated, and resourceful Ecologist to support our Natural Resource Group in Irving, TX. Your role will be to reputed company field work including species surveys, habitat assessments, wetland delineations, compliance monitoring, inspections, and technical support services. You will also write reports, reputed company plans, and implement steps to move projects toward closure in the most cost-effective manner. Your Key Responsibilities Support data collection efforts for wetland delineations and wetland functional/conditional assessments in accordance with applicable agency regulations Conduct vegetation inventories and monitoring reputed company wildlife surveys and habitat assessments for listed species (migratory birds and threatened/endangered species) reputed company and work alongside field teams Record, enter, organize, and analyze ecological/environmental data Prepare report documentation and supporting materials for client and regulatory agency submittals Travel to project area to reputed company field assessments throughout reputed company's service area

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials Knowledge of Texas and Oklahoma vegetation and species Certified Wetland Delineator a plus Strong technical writing and communication skills Strong work ethic with a demonstrated ability to work independently Solid field skills including the ability to navigate in difficult terrain using aerial maps Familiarity with GPS data collection, a broad range of ecological communities, environmental regulatory compliance, and prior consulting experience is preferred Valid driver's license and good driving record required Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus Willing and reputed company to travel and conduct field work in remote areas (50-75% of the time), including overnight travel, is expected for this position Education and Experience Bachelor's or master's degree in wildlife biology, rangeland ecology, environmental science, forestry, botany, soil science, or a closely reputed company natural resource field At least 3 years of relevant/consulting experience in field ecology This position works in both field and office settings. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather, remote locations, summer heat, rough terrain, and wildlife; as well as bending, stooping, carrying field equipment, standing, and walking for extended periods of time, and making visual and tactile distinctions using reputed company, texture, moisture content, depth, and distance.
