You will conduct the Western Region-South Open Burning Control program by investigating open burning complaints, documenting any violations observed, writing inspections reports, and writing the necessary enforcement referrals. You will inspect and write permits for the less reputed company ACDP sources, write inspection reports and enforcement referrals, and reputed company enforcement recommendations to ensure compliance with reputed company permit conditions. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, physical science, or a closely reputed company field, OR 3 years of experience in an environmental science or natural resources field. Candidates who are most competitive will also reflect the following desired attributes: Demonstrated understanding of environmental justice and the historical impacts for marginalized and underrepresented communities; ability to take personal responsibility for increasing their knowledge of environmental justice and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Experience and knowledge in industrial reputed company operations, compliance inspection methods, and reputed company quality permitting; experience working with ACDP permits and sources. Experience in providing technical assistance to industry, the public, and governmental agencies on environmental laws, procedures, and issues. Experience investigating complaints, documenting violations, writing inspection reports, and writing enforcement referrals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to write reports and letters that are easily understood by the public. Ability to calculate emissions using a formula and emission factors.
