We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead our Search/Discovery function across our platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the search experience, improving content and product discovery, and ensuring our users can easily find what they're looking for. You will work closely with our in-house development team to optimize search relevancy, implement innovative search solutions, and create a more impactful search experience for our users.

The Product Manager, Search/Discovery will be responsible for developing and executing the search strategy across our platforms. You will analyze user behavior, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that enhance the discoverability of our content and products. You will collaborate with engineering, design, and business teams to deliver a seamless search experience that drives engagement and conversion.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the end-to-end search vision and strategy for our platforms.
  • Analyze user search behavior and identify opportunities to improve search relevancy and performance.
  • Define and prioritize search features based on user needs and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement search technologies and algorithms.
  • Design and conduct A/B tests to optimize search results and user experience.
  • Monitor search metrics and KPIs to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in search technology.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on search performance and initiatives.
  • Document search functionality and create training materials for internal teams.
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on search, discovery, or relevancy.
  • Experience with search technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, or similar platforms
  • Understanding of search algorithms, relevancy tuning, and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data insights into product improvements.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and/or content management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and business teams.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with machine learning and AI applications in search.
  • Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and semantic search.
  • Experience with personalization and recommendation systems.
  • Understanding of e-commerce metrics and conversion optimization.
  • Experience with both content and product discovery.
