Collections Attorney - Hybrid
reputed company is a global legal services company seeking a Collections Attorney to handle debt settlement litigation from inception through resolution. The role involves managing reputed company aspects of litigation, including drafting legal documents, appearing in court, and negotiating settlements while ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
Responsibilities
- Handle reputed company aspects of debt collection litigation, including pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Draft and file lawsuits, judgments, garnishments, liens, and post-judgment remedies
- Appear in court for hearings, assist at trials and mediations
- Negotiate settlements and payment arrangements
- Ensure compliance with FDCPA, state collection laws, and court rules
- Communicate effectively with clients, debtors, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in case management system
Skills
- Active bar admission in Colorado
- At least 1 year of experience with debt settlement litigation
- Ability to work proficiently with case management software and reputed company reputed company files up to date
