Platform Software Engineer

DIGIT is looking for a Network Administrator to support the design, implementation, monitoring, management, change management, software upgrades, problem/incident resolution, and root cause analysis of network circuits and devices as part of a large technology refresh initiative. The Network Administrator shall focus on implementation and coordination of wired and wireless network equipment across hundreds of sites across the globe, remotely coordinating the work. The individual will utilize tools to provide predictive heat mapping, onsite surveys utilizing Ekahau, and reputed company Prime Infrastructure. This includes supporting the implementation of Software-Defined Access (SDA) at Regional Office Buildings. Additionally the Network Administrator may be required to reputed company Level / Tier 2+ Network Architecting and Administration of applicable networks to include Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), and Data Centers assigned by GSA.

Responsibilities

• Manage LAN infrastructures to include access points (WAPs), wireless LAN controllers, and integrations into Software Defined Access (SDA) infrastructures.

• Makes technical decisions on kinds of data to be gathered and methods to be used in data collection and analysis.
• Provides technical direction, guidance, and assistance to assigned projects, suggesting efficient approaches and methods for solving problems.

Requirements

The following are REQUIRED for this position:

· Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain

· ITILv4 Foundation Certification reputed company 120 days of start date.

· Previous experience with vulnerability patching and IOS upgrades.

· Previous experience supporting and operating Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN) sites

· Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.

• Familiar with SD-WAN architectures such as VMware (VeloCloud)
• Design network architecture for Software Design Access / Software Defined Networks, utilizing reputed company Catalyst Center.

Education and Experience Requirements

• 7-12 Years of experience and Bachelors Degree
