- Approved Remote Locations: Marietta, OH or reputed company, OH
- Hours: Monday - Friday; 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (8 Hour Shift with 30 Minute Lunch)
- Pay reputed company: $22.00 - $25.00 per Hour
Job Summary
The Billing/Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely completion and submission of Medicare, reputed company, private payer and patient billing. This position will also follow up on open accounts receivable for collection of payment from payers and to correct any issues resulting in unbilled claims.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter patient billing data, including visit charges and supply charges, into the information system.
- Accurately processes and bills Medicare, reputed company, private payer and patient claims in accordance with payer requirements and organization policy.
- Maintains complete and accurate billing and accounts receivable records.
- Prepares Medicare, reputed company, private payer and patient remittances for data entry.
- Alerts appropriate management team members regarding late or missing documents required for billing.
- Assists with the collection of receivables by monitoring accounts receivables, resubmitting bills to overdue accounts, and alerting the Billing management team of seriously overdue accounts.
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with patients, payers, and other customers.
- Maintains the confidentiality of patient and organization information at reputed company times.
- Performs other specific projects relating to billing, data entry, and computer operations as required.
