[Remote] Senior Python Developer - Contingent
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. As a Senior Python Developer, you will assist in leading the integration of a custom application with other client-based systems, while adhering to safeguarding and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally in an Agile environment
- Build FastAPIs for the display of content
- Create microservices
- Work on front-end and back-end code
- Mentor peers and junior developers in Python design
- Build ETL processes
- Work in a highly collaborative environment
- Juggle multiple tasks at once
- Work independently and collaboratively as needed
- Utilize interpersonal skills and strong communication skills
- Work directly with the Project Manager to support emerging client needs
Skills
- Public Trust Eligibility Required
- 8+ years of solid Python development experience
- 8+ years of overall (OOP) programming experience
- Bachelor's Degree (or 2 additional years of experience)
- API development and integration experience
- Experience with Microservices
- Experience with JavaScript and JQuery
- Experience with Search engines, such as Solr or Elasticsearch
- Experience designing and developing enterprise Web and Search systems
- Experience with enterprise database technologies, such as Postgres and MySQL
- Experience building and managing container technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, etc
- Comfortable with working with open source-based solutions
- Familiar with enterprise use of Python
- Expert in continuous integration/continuous delivery solutions
- Experience with large-scale AWS based solutions and Terraform
- Agile environment experience
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering or related field
- Experience with the federal government
- Experience with FastAPIs (Highly preferred)
