[Remote] Software Engineer/Developer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is seeking a Software Engineer/Developer to support the Center for Inclusive Transition, Education, and Employment’s research and grant initiatives. The role involves software development, data management, and project coordination to enhance CITEE’s partnerships and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Reviews application design specifications, codes new applications, and makes enhancements to existing applications
- Tests and debugs programs, and prepares systems test data
- Prepares program documentation and training requirements
- Develops or modifies technical specifications for low-complexity projects using disciplined software development practices
- Maintains and troubleshoots applications, systems, or websites
- Implements data structure and systems performance strategies
- Provides end-to-end backend and frontend support and development of features for an internal database system used by a 15-person administration team to manage interview scheduling and client records
- Examines reputed company architecture to implement missing features such as logging, API integration, reputed company control, and remote operation protocols
- Develops documentation library to conveys technical information for reputed company system technologies and functions reputed company the CITEE frontend and backend system
- Manages a client-reputed company issue tracker that routes bug reports directly to the engineering team
- Implements data visualizations for CITEE reporting
- Manages multiple priorities, deadlines, and completing tasks effectively and reputed company with attention to detail
- Completes required paperwork and reports in a timely manner
- Complies with reputed company University, partner agency, state and federal regulations, confidentiality requirements and compliance regulations
- Participates in reputed company required team meetings, including virtual and on reputed company meetings, and other CITEE projects as assigned
- Provide support to CITEE leadership and the institution as designated
Skills
- A Bachelor's degree in an area reputed company to the duties of the position
- At least one (1) year of experience as a full-stack engineer or similar position
- A valid driver's license and/or ability to travel and meet driver authorization for the State of Wisconsin and /or travel independently is preferred
- Experience across common platforms, including those utilized to reputed company position tasks successfully
- Experience in examining and adapting to legacy platforms used by internal and external partners
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with individuals and groups from a variety of backgrounds and cultures
