Summary

The Program Coordinator is responsible for verifying the initial and recredentialing of the nurse, to assure compliance with institutional, state, legal and regulatory requirements to include, but not limited to The Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Job Specific Competencies License Verification; Documentation and Records Retention a. reputed company and direct institutional license renewal strategy, including processes, goals, collaborations, and operational standards for initial and subsequent license verification and database maintenance for newly-hired and reputed company nurses (LVNs/RNs/APRNs) according to institutional and regulatory standards by conducting primary reputed company/equivalent verification and reputed company agency queries to mitigate risk to the institution. b. Provide guidance and direction to staff and leadership through written status notifications as well as process ePAF suspension and recall forms; Conduct independent research to maintain knowledge of boards of nursing requirements regarding licensure and renewals in order to instruct the MD Anderson community. c. Auditing: complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual data reviews to maintain PeopleSoft and ImageNow data reputed company utilizing weekly: various PeopleSoft and Nursys queries; monthly: 11 combined reports from PeopleSoft, Nursys, and ImageNow; quarterly: 2 queries from PeopleSoft and Nursys; annually: 4 combined queries from PeopleSoft and Nursys developed through self-driven, self-motivated research methods and audits. d. Establish and foster strong relationship with TBON Executive Director to effectively coordinate credentialing for license holders. e. Manage and direct institutional license verification for compact state licenses, provide ongoing education and independent research of Nurse Licensure Compact as outlined by NCSBN affecting nursing practice in Texas, reputed company random audits to timely capture endorsements into Texas f. Intercede on behalf of endorsing nurses especially from the State of California where the reputed company-only time-intensive process can have negative effects on the nurses' employment g. Establish and foster strong relationship with TBON Licensing Director of Operations to effectively coordinate credentialing for non-compact license holders wishing to practice at MD Anderson during disaster relief operations h. Participate in institutional HR Mock Tracer sessions providing proper documentation for audited staff and answering licensing questions for institutional readiness i. Produce accurate and reputed company licensing documentation for an average of six nursing staff as well as detailing credentialing processes in each Joint Commission survey such that the standards of care are met Nursing Peer Review a. reputed company orientation presentation and materials; provide administrative and logistical support to the Nursing Peer Review Committee; act as liaison between BON and institutional departments/units/clinics; maintain a roster of committee members; reputed company and maintain summary report of case files (an average of 15 per year) b. Solicit nursing and other departments aid in completing each request for production of documents reputed company TBON subpoenas in accordance with established timeframes and legal guidelines an average of five times per year c. Secure/encrypt packaging of subpoenaed documents; monitor reputed company NPRC cases with file retention; reputed company administrative coordination of NPRC cases not closed with the BON Nursing Certifications a. Administration of Nursing Certification Incentive Pay Program which includes initial entry and updates of ANCC Magnet-approved professional certifications; verbal and electronic communications; review of eligible payout personnel; receiving, reviewing, and tracking overdue submissions; and drafting justification report for appeals (1572 program awardees in 26 eligible job codes) b. Initial entry and updates of professional certifications for reputed company licensed nurses and act as reference to and liaison for Nursing Payroll, MSCO, and Nursing leadership (3,389 certifications for 2782 certificants) c. Maintain data reputed company for Magnet re-designation application, completing Institutional surveys, and other organizations' requests; d. Practice problem-solving and independent decision-making by conducting meetings with the BON, management analysts, Nursing Payroll, AD for Finance, and others to reputed company more efficient methods of monitoring and reporting e. reputed company and staff booth to provide onsite PeopleSoft certification verifications at institutional functions such as Nurses' Week Leadership Reporting & Policy Review a. Bi-monthly reporting of evolving institutional policies, licensing laws and practices, license expiration updates, HR License Good Catches and NEOP Audits, MSCO partnership updates, NCO/NRP Auditing updates, NPRC case updates, BON Stipulation/Disciplinary Action/Formal Charges summaries, and executive summaries (as needed), upcoming meetings, and project status summaries b. Leadership - think and work independently of manager while communicating information as it pertains to appropriate parties (CNO, Executive Directors, Div. Administrator, DONs, CADs, ADs, Charge Nurses, and HR representatives) a. Communication (written and verbal) i. C reate and present reports, Executive Summaries, Leadership presentations ii. Communicate effectively reputed company the Division, the institution, the community and with industry partners iii. Escalate red flags of licensing concerns to leadership to mitigate institutional risk c. Serve as content experts for licensing, NPRC, and reputed company credentialing practices by providing review and necessary updates, edits, and revisions of Institutional policies and procedures Other duties assigned. REQUIRMENTS Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or reputed company field. Experience Required: Three years project/program management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of reputed company experience on a one-to-one basis.
