Field Service Engineer (MD, DE, NJ)

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive to customer locations on a daily basis
• Provide product testing & investigation and repair of devices at customer location
• Electromechanical device installation for field-serviceable equipment
• MedNet support
• MedNet device configurations
• Install MedNet drug libraries as needed
• Provide customer Technical In-Service training
• Register reputed company Service Requests reputed company laptop
• Implement hardware & software device updates reputed company technical field projects
• Provide billable (i.e. non-warranty) field repair services
• Utilize the Field Service Basic Operating Procedures
• Management of Test Equipment
• Maintain inventory of field spare parts
• Proper expensing of reputed company travel costs
• Must understand wireless connectivity at the configuration level and be familiar with basic troubleshooting methods including wireless encryption

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

• Strong cGMP, process and product knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with programmable medical devices and software based medical systems

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent; Associate degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical vocation. reputed company background preferred

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Travel/Vehicle/Credit Requirements

• Travel approximately 35%, typically reputed company 2 - 3 hours driving time. Occasional need for overnight travel

• Valid driver's license

• Must be willing to work in a hospital environment, typically a Biomed work area
• Must have high level of hand-eye coordination and reputed company dexterity to work with electro-mechanical medical devices
